The only qualification I have that matters in writing this blog is that I am myself — an average Juana.
I am not, and never have been, a dermatologist, cosmetologist or beauty columnist. In the past, I have been a freelance journalist and copywriter, beauty consultant and an aspiring freelance make-up artist. But I have finally decided that the entrepreneurial route is the perfect match for me.
I do not and will not claim that my opinions or statements are expert advice on beauty, skin care or cosmetics.
I only write about things within my realm of experience and ability.
I research responsibly about what I write, always quoting my sources. However, this is not a scholarly journal, and part of my research will almost always entail “recorded findings” from my personal experience.
I am not responsible for anyone’s decision as a consumer.
I do not endorse products or services. I write about my experiences with them.
I am not paid for this blog nor do I use it to promote myself or my business. (However, I do accept voluntary donations)
I am in a business related to beauty and skin care. As such, I will neither mention my name nor mention my own products in my posts.
This blog is not, and never will be, a beauty bible. Make your own choices and decisions. Every average Juana has her own special beauty quirks.
If you enjoy reading this blog or if it has helped you in any way, there are two ways you can show your appreciation: email me (averagejuana@gmail.com) and/or donate freely and from the bottom of your heart.
